Both the baby’s unit and the parent’s unit (receiver) can be operated on either AC power (two AC adapters included) or with batteries. When operating with batteries, the Sound Monitor is completely wireless so you can move about your house and still hear your baby. You can eliminate unnecessary background noise with the optional voice activation feature. Each unit takes one 9-volt battery (not included). For added convience, the parent’s unit also features a volume control and a belt clip. Operating on 49 MHz frequency, it has a range of up to 400 feet.
